I'm Veronica, a swim coach and lover of all things water
For the past 25 years, I’ve taught swimming on various levels from infants to triathletes and my primary goal is for my clients to love the water – I hope you will too!
Swimming, in my opinion, is the best full-body workout that engages all muscles, provides controlled resistance, and has a low injury rate.
The best part is that you don’t have to be a great swimmer or even know how to swim to benefit. I’m here to show you how!
Swimming has helped me in so many ways besides just exercise
I started swim lessons at an early age and moved on to swim teams throughout my childhood. I’ve been part of the US Masters Swimming and even played water polo for a while.
Throughout the years I’ve been able to travel and meet so many amazing people thanks to swimming!
I was born and raised in Sweden and moved to the United States for college. It was hard leaving my family behind at the age of 20 but I quickly made friends who have become like family today.
I attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where I earned my Bachelor and a couple of Masters. I have worked as a high school teacher, a medic on ambulance, and a writer for various organizations.
Throughout the years coaching swimming has always stayed with me, which I started in college.
I love working with people and helping them!
The greatest joys and blessings in my life are my three children. They have all been part of my swim journey and have grown to love the water too.
Early on, I brought them to my swim lessons and when they reached age five other coaches would take over their learning, partly because my kids stopped listening to me LOL!
Today, they have become great swimmers and young coaches. I’m so proud of them!
